That question can easily be answered with a quick trip to http://checkip.dyndns.org/

Virtual Network Computing (VNC)

VNC software makes it possible to view and fully-interact with one computer from any other computer or mobile device anywhere on the Internet. VNC software is cross-platform, allowing remote control between different types of computer. I have been using VNC for some time, but ran into a nasty problem a few weeks ago. I needed to VNC to a computer that had multiple montiors attached. It was very important to be able to interact with both screens. Most VNC servers were not able to perform this task. Then I discovered the latest release of RealVNC. It does not have all the features I wanted but it does work without a problem with multiple monitors on the server.

TCP/IP Ports

There are over 65,000 ports on each IP address. Commonly used services such as web, ftp and email have default port numbers. It's a good idea to limit the open ports on a computer that are connected to the Internet. Windows XP has a built-in firewall utility to limit port traffic. Another popular 'free' utlity that allows move control is ZoneAlarm. Common port numbers include 7 (Echo), 21 (FTP), 23 (TELNET), 25 (SMTP), 53 (DNS), 79 (finger), 80 (HTTP), 110 (POP3), 119 (NNTP), 161 (SNMP), 162 (SNMP Trap). Other port numbers and there use can be found at Iana.

Dreamweaver Fails

I tried editing one the the great design from cssZenGarden in the latest version of Macromedia's Dreamweaver. I am very disappointed, it's almost useless for editing CSS2. I was expecting much more.

Amazing CSS

In my travels around the web, I found PSPad. PSPad is a very capable text/program editor with some outstanding features. It understands many languages including PHP and is able to do local function and variable completion as well as a full feature code explorer built into a side panel. The software can manage projects, FTP, do DIFFS, Spell check, record macros, do cleanup on HTML, CSS and XML. All this for free, it's well worth a look.

Wacom or Not!

If you don't use one, your missing the best way to get input into a computer. Tablets have long been the input of choice for graphics artists. There cost has kept them out of reach of most computer users. The market leader Wacom introduced their Graphite tablet a few years ago that changed everything. For $130 you get a 4x5" tablet, pen and mouse. Now Wacom is on the third edition of this product and priced at only $100. The next size up 6x8" will cost you $200.

The new comer Aiptek with their HyperPen Tablet are out to challenge Wacom. They have a 4x5" tablet on their website for only $30 and a smart looking 8x6" can be had for half the price of Wacom. There is a few difference, the HyperPen's require a AAA battery in both the pen and the mouse. Wacom does not need batteries. The Wacom pens have an eraser and can be fun.
